The goodness of God.

God is very good. He gave us life and time to live on this earth. He initiated our existence, He shows us all of life His goodness when we are willing to be open to His mercy that He bestows upon us.

We are blessed with health, talents, material goods, graces. We pray in the Our Father prayer “Give us this day our daily bread” and God gives us more than bread.

The first people rebelled against God, sin came into the world. And God the Father sent Jesus Christ to save us through His passion and death on the cross. How great and unlimited is the mercy of God!

What else do we get from God? We get the Church in which we can grow, we can receive the Holy Sacraments (e.g. baptism, the sacrament of Holy Confession, Holy Communion, marriage) for free. Sacraments are visible signs of God’s invisible grace.

For those who will not reject God (while living in this world) God has prepared the greatest GIFT: LIFE WITH GOD IN ETERNITY!

Are we not to rejoice in this text of Scripture (here given in the Catholic version):

“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the heart of man conceived,
what God has prepared for those who love him,”

God has given me many of His gifts, for which I do not have to pay; I am thankful for God, and I want to remain so until I die and then glorify God in eternity.

Dare to live. It’s YOUR life.
