Below I quote part of chapter two “Your Future Can Be a Masterpiece – It’s Up to You”:
“Everything you will read in this chapter is written to help you imagine and ‘see’ your future in
a positive way. I would like you to plan your path (of course, along the way you can change your plan to suit your current desires and dreams) so that you can imagine what a masterpiece your life can become.
If you are willing to be proactive and take responsibility for what your life will look like, you have
a good chance of positive changes.
It is YOUR life and you know yourself, your desires, and therefore you are the one who can best plan and guide it.
Not everything in life can be changed, but you can change a lot, e.g. your beliefs. The belief that you can shape your life is the starting point to a better life. If so many people before you have changed their lives, why could not you do the same? After all, what you really want is change.
Many authors have written about visualization, among them are Allan and Barbara Pease, who devoted Chapter 7 of their book ‘The Answer’ 1 to discuss this important topic. Visualization helps you achieve your goals. What is it? Visualization refers to the ability to represent desired things to yourself in your mind.
For example, you can imagine (visualize) who you will be in three years, how you will feel, what you will look like, what kind of life you will lead, who you will hang out with, how much you will earn, etc. The authors mentioned above write that people who use visualization get better results.
In my opinion, visualization helps to develop a positive approach to achieving goals. Imagining the achievement of a goal gives (for example, in my case) a kind of opportunity to “feel” like a person who can plan a goal, work on it and then achieve it. Imagining a set amount in my account (e.g., three years from today) is beneficial to me and “drives” my actions. I do not know how scientific studies present this, perhaps some claim that visualization is beneficial and others deny it. But you can try this method, you have nothing to lose!
