This quote is not from the original Veritatis splendor, it is a translation from a Polish book entitled ‘Wolność jest w tobie’ (‘Freedom is in you’) (Fr Cyprian Moryc, OFM). However, I will concentrate on the content itself rather than the source. The content above shows us some fundamental things about personal development.

Esta cita no es del original de Veritatis splendor, es una traducción de un libro polaco titulado ‘Wolność jest w tobie’ (‘La libertad está en ti’) (P. Cyprian Moryc, OFM). Sin embargo, me centraré en el contenido en sí y no en la fuente. El contenido anterior nos muestra algunas cosas fundamentales sobre el desarrollo personal.

“We create ourselves independently”. It is really true thing – we are responsible for our own growth, if we want to grow – we do something every day to grow.

“Nos creamos a nosotros mismos de forma independiente”. Es realmente cierto – somos responsables de nuestro propio crecimiento, si queremos crecer – hacemos algo cada día para crecer.

The next thing is our choices – our development is achieved through the choices we make every day – if we dedicate our time to development, we will experience it, if we don’t try to use our time creatively, we won’t experience development, our growth won’t happen by itself – we have to work for it.

Si dedicamos nuestro tiempo al desarrollo, lo experimentaremos, si no intentamos utilizar nuestro tiempo de forma creativa, no experimentaremos el desarrollo, nuestro desarrollo no ocurrirá por sí mismo, tenemos que trabajar para ello.
