Niekoľko myšlienok o štedrosti

In his work ‘Meditations’, Marcus Aurelius mentions generosity. This inspired me to write some thoughts on generosity specifically.
Marcus Aurelius vo svojom diele Meditácie spomína štedrosť. To ma inšpirovalo k napísaniu niekoľkých myšlienok o štedrosti.
In my opinion, this is a good and useful quality. We have everything from God, if we are doing well, earning well, accumulating assets, then we can and should be generous to other people. Some say that the good given to people comes back to us. If you are generous then remain so, because God in His generosity bestows His gifts and graces on you. What do you have that you would not receive?
Podľa môjho názoru je to dobrá a užitočná vlastnosť. Všetko dostávame od Boha, ak sa nám darí, dobre zarábame, hromadíme majetok, potom môžeme a mali by sme byť štedrí k iným ľuďom. Niektorí hovoria, že dobrota, ktorú dávame ľuďom, sa nám vracia. Ak ste štedrí, potom takými aj zostaňte, pretože Boh vás vo svojej štedrosti obdarúva svojimi darmi a milosťami. Čo máš, čo by si nechcel prijať?
So be generous and enjoy your generosity. And don’t flaunt it.
Buďte preto štedrí a tešte sa zo svojej štedrosti. A nechváľte sa ňou.
