"(…) you have the power to change any area of your life for the better. So where is this power? And how can you use it? We all know that to achieve new results, you need to take new action. But we need to understand that at the heart of every action is a decision. The power of decision is therefore the power of change." (A. Robbins)

Failure is part of life, let’s not be afraid of it, things don’t always work out the first time.
Things don't work out right away, sometimes we have to be persistent, sometimes it takes effort and hard work to make plans and dreams come true. This applies, for example, to learning a foreign language: anyone who has prepared for the C2 exam knows how much effort and time is required.
“(…) to help with the tsunami disaster on the Thai islands?”(…) “(…) pomagać w usuwaniu skutków tsunami na tajskich wyspach?”
Discovering your mission can be one of the most important events in your life, whether you do the mission during your work or leisure time, or in micro-retirement (which the aforementioned author, T. Ferriss, writes about). What is a mission? For me, it is something that gives a deeper meaning to life, it is a kind of vocation, something that makes us happy because we give the best of ourselves to other people.
Faith in God and His love for us humans – a personal reflection of a 50 year old.
I have never doubted the existence of God; I believe that God created man in HIS image and likeness, created man out of love and called him to live in harmony with God. Belief in God and HIS love for man is a grace that I have experienced throughout my life.
Focus on solutions, not problems.
Let me start with a quote from A. Robbins' book "Notes from a Friend" (my copy of the book is in Polish). Here is that quote: "I also kept reminding myself that I needed to focus on what I wanted to achieve, to focus on solutions rather than problems."
The first step on the road to changing lives…
"The first step on the road to changing your life is to get rid of the negative belief that you have no influence on the situation in which you find yourself, that you are helpless."
Teenagers and the quality of Polish educational system.
"When a teenager enrolls in a drama club class, for example, he steps outside his comfort zone, takes risks, limits his control, and begins the process, often without knowing the outcome. Additionally, he starts to build social relationships with other kids, learns attentiveness, co-responsibility, closeness. That when he is part of a team, what happens between people becomes most important, not his individual goals.
“Education should be represented by experts.” (Zdzisław Hofman)
"Vzdělávání by měli zastupovat odborníci." (This post is written in English and Czech) In "Psychologia nastolatka" ("Adolescent Psychology") (no. 4/2022, page 77, the magazine is in Polish) we can read the following passage: "(…) education should be represented by experts who understand the psychological mechanisms and neurobiological processes of young people. Of course this knowledge … Continue reading “Education should be represented by experts.” (Zdzisław Hofman)
“One of the guidelines for speakers at TED conferences is to avoid ‘following the beaten track’.” (Carmine Gallo)”
The quote in the title of this post comes from page 101 of Carmine Gallo's book "The Storyteller's Secret" (I have my copy in Polish). One can think how to use the knowledge about storytelling (contained e.g. in the above-mentioned book) in the activities of authors, bloggers, but also all who want to educate the audience in some way.
“Almost all the changes we want to make in our lives fall into two categories…” (Anthony Robbins)
"Almost all the changes we want to make in our lives fall into two categories: either we want to change the way we feel (…) or we want to change our own actions." This quote comes from Anthony Robbins' book 'Letters to a Friend'.
