Dare to believe… in God: Preaching the Gospel today

I will start this post with a quote from the book by Salvatore Martinez entitled ‘Żyj w wolności ducha’ (this is the Polish title, it means: ‘Live in the Freedom of the Spirit’). The author writes: ‘The proclamation of Jesus Christ – the only Lord and Saviour of the world – seems more complicated today than in the past, but our task remains the same as at the dawn of our history. The mission has not changed, just as the enthusiasm or courage that animated the apostles and the first disciples should not change.’ (the translation from Polish)

We are to proclaim the Risen Christ, no matter who we are. God calls us and gives us the abilities to evangelise, HE gives us – God in the Trinity – talents that can help us proclaim the Gospel of Jesus. If we believe in Jesus and HIS gospel, then we are to testify by our actions that God is the most important to us and we want to live as God commands. The commandments of God are given to us for our good. We can tell other people who do not experience the work of God in their lives who the Lord God in the Trinity is for us, how we experience HIS love and guidance. However, it is our personal example, not the words we speak, that has the potential to draw those who are away from HIM to God.
