El corazón imprevisible…

There is good and sometimes evil hidden in our hearts. We are created to give good (in the likeness of the Creator). Sometimes there is so much good in us that we are surprised ourselves, but this can happen by God’s grace. On the other hand, if we think only of ourselves, our ‘success’, our wealth, we often close ourselves off to giving good. It is necessary to examine our heart, our motivations, from year to year.
En nuestros corazones se esconde el bien y, a veces, el mal. Hemos sido creados para dar el bien (a semejanza del Creador). A veces hay tanto bien en nosotros que nos sorprendemos a nosotros mismos, pero esto puede ocurrir por la gracia de Dios. En cambio, si pensamos sólo en nosotros mismos, en nuestro “éxito”, en nuestra riqueza, a menudo nos cerramos a dar el bien. Es necesario examinar nuestro corazón, nuestras motivaciones, de año en año.
At the same time, our hearts are unpredictable, but we can also predict what we will be like in one or two years, or even in 20 or 40 years. I think that if we give good and it is natural for us to do so, we will also give even more good as the years go by, because we will see more and more people needing our help, our care, our time.
Al mismo tiempo, nuestro corazón es imprevisible, pero también podemos predecir cómo seremos dentro de uno o dos años, o incluso dentro de 20 o 40 años. Creo que si damos bien y nos resulta natural hacerlo, también daremos aún más bien a medida que pasen los años, porque veremos que cada vez más personas necesitan nuestra ayuda, nuestros cuidados, nuestro tiempo.
Give good and let us not expect retribution here on earth. God will reward our hearts in eternity.
Demos el bien y no esperemos retribución aquí en la tierra. Dios recompensará nuestros corazones en la eternidad.
