Let me start with a quote from the book “The Inside Job. A Spirituality of True Self-Esteem”.
Permítanme empezar con una cita del libro “The Inside Job. A Spirituality of True Self-Esteem”.

On page 58 of my copy, Jim McManus CSsR wrote: “This transcendent nature is at the heart of our true value and meaning. Deep down we feel that we are more than our roles, material possessions and positions, more than the poses we adopt to inspire approval. We are spiritual beings. And as spiritual beings, dear in God’s eyes, we are eternal.”
En la página 58 de mi ejemplar, Jim McManus CSsR escribió: “Esta naturaleza trascendente está en el corazón de nuestro verdadero valor y significado. En el fondo sentimos que somos más que nuestros papeles, posesiones materiales y posiciones, más que las poses que adoptamos para inspirar aprobación. Somos seres espirituales. Y como seres espirituales, queridos a los ojos de Dios, somos eternos”.
The author is right, he is a believer and he conveys his view of God and man in his book. For God we have value, each of us human beings has value for him. And if we were the only person in the world, Jesus would also have died for that one person in the world, for his sins. I believe this firmly, and I am convinced of the immense love of God the Creator for his creation, for man in particular, and for each of us who believe in him; of course God loves each and every one of his children, even those who are away from him and have made, for example, an act of departure from the Church through apostasy. A loving God waits for the “prodigal sons”.
El autor tiene razón, es creyente y transmite en su libro su visión de Dios y del hombre. Para Dios tenemos valor, cada uno de nosotros los seres humanos tiene valor para él. Y si fuéramos la única persona en el mundo, Jesús también habría muerto por esa única persona en el mundo, por sus pecados. Lo creo firmemente, y estoy convencido del inmenso amor de Dios Creador por su creación, por el hombre en particular, y por cada uno de los que creemos en Él; por supuesto que Dios ama a todos y cada uno de sus hijos, incluso a los que están alejados de Él y han hecho, por ejemplo, un acto de alejamiento de la Iglesia por apostasía. Un Dios amoroso espera a los “hijos pródigos”.
God sees the good in us, let us also see that good in us. And let us continue to avoid evil and let God’s grace guide us in our spiritual development.
Dios ve el bien en nosotros, veamos también ese bien en un nosotros. Y sigamos evitando el mal y dejemos que la gracia de Dios nos guíe en nuestro desarrollo espiritual.
